IFS Group is on a proven and accelerating growth trajectory and were looking for a Chief Sales & Marketing Officer to help us capture the market that our operational excellence deserves.
We manage some of Nigerias most complex and high-profile facilities. We operate across soft and hard FM engineering services and project delivery and we are just getting started. What we need now is a commercial leader who can turn that story into a pipeline and that pipeline into long-term high-value client relationships.
This is not a traditional marketing role. It is a revenue leadership position for someone who understands that in a services business the best business development happens through relationships reputation and relentless follow-through not just campaigns and decks.
The Role
As CSMO you will be the commercial engine of IFS Group owning the full revenue growth 20X20X20 mandate target across business development marketing client acquisition and account expansion.
You will:
Own and drive the Groups revenue growth strategy setting targets building pipelines and closing high-value FM and engineering service contracts
Identify and convert new business opportunities across government commercial real estate hospitality oil & gas industrial and infrastructure sectors
Build and expand a portfolio of long-term senior client relationships becoming the trusted commercial face of IFS
Lead the development of compelling commercially intelligent proposals bids and capability presentations that win and retain significant contracts
Design and execute a market positioning and brand strategy that differentiates IFS clearly from competitors
Work in close partnership with the COO and Group leadership to align commercial commitments with operational delivery capacity

Requirements
Who Were Looking For
A proven commercial leader with a track record of winning growing and retaining significant service contracts not just managing accounts but building them
Deep understanding of the Nigerian FM engineering services real estate or infrastructure market you know who the buyers are and how they procure
Highly networked at senior and executive level across corporate government and institutional sectors in Nigeria
Equally comfortable developing strategy and closing deals vision and hustle in equal measure
Commercially intelligent and financially literate able to structure deals read contracts and price competitively without underselling the business
A compelling communicator who earns trust quickly and maintains it at the most senior client level
Proficient in CRM platforms and data-driven pipeline management
Experience & Background
10 years in sales leadership business development or commercial management 5 years at senior or director level
Proven experience in facility management engineering services real estate construction or B2B services
Track record of winning complex multi-year service contracts at significant value
Experience building and managing commercial teams
Strong proposal writing presentation and bid management capability
MBA or relevant post-graduate qualification an advantage
Benefits
1M - 1.5M per month fixed; and 1M - 1.5M variable based on performance
Required Skills:

Qualifications Experience & Person Profile Essential Requirements Minimum HND or in Environmental Health Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science or a related discipline Recognised HSE qualification NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is strongly preferred; ISPON membership or IOSH Managing Safely certification is acceptable at minimum Minimum 5 years of relevant HSE experience with at least 3 years in a facilities management hospitality or large commercial building environment Demonstrable experience directly supervising cleaning grounds or soft services teams this is not a purely administrative or desk-based HSE role; operational supervisory experience is non-negotiable Working knowledge of COSHH regulations chemical safety data sheets and safe chemical handling procedures relevant to cleaning and grounds operations Experience managing and coordinating pest control programmes in a large commercial or institutional facility Competent in the preparation review and enforcement of risk assessments method statements and Permits to Work Proficient in Microsoft Office able to produce professional inspection reports schedules and management summaries independently The Person We Need You walk the facility with sharp eyes you notice the spill before a visitor slips on it the weed before it becomes an eyesore and the pest sign before it becomes an infestation You lead by being present your team knows your standards because they see you inspect correct and recognise good work every day not once a week You are firm on safety and standards without being inflexible you know how to get compliance through training respect and clear expectations not fear You can write a professional incident report and present cleaning audit scores to a client in the same morning and do both well
