Job Objective:

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for the institution ensuring sustainable business growth sound financial performance regulatory compliance and effective corporate governance.

The role is responsible for leading the implementation of the institutions strategic and business plans strengthening operational efficiency expanding the customer base and fostering a high-performance culture to achieve the organisations objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic & Business Leadership

• Lead the implementation of the institutions strategic and annual business plans.
• Drive business growth profitability and market expansion.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Monitor business performance and implement initiatives to achieve corporate objectives.

Financial & Operational Management

• Provide overall leadership for the institutions operations and financial performance.
• Ensure prudent financial management and efficient utilisation of organisational resources.
• Oversee budgeting financial reporting and performance monitoring.
• Improve operational processes and service delivery.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other relevant regulatory bodies.
• Maintain effective risk management internal controls and corporate governance practices.
• Provide regular reports to the Board on organisational performance and key risks.

Business Development & Customer Management

• Drive customer acquisition portfolio growth and revenue generation.
• Strengthen relationships with customers regulators investors and business partners.
• Promote innovative products and services that meet customer needs.
• Leadership & People Management
• Lead develop and motivate the management team.
• Build a culture of accountability collaboration and high performance.
• Ensure effective talent development and succession planning.

Required Skills & Qualification:

• A Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Accounting Business Administration or a related discipline.
• A Masters degree or MBA will be an added advantage.
• Relevant professional qualifications such as CFA ACCA ICAN CIS or similar certifications will be desirable.
• A minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience within the financial services industry capital markets finance house sector or banking industry.
• Demonstrable leadership experience at senior management or executive level.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and corporate governance practices.
• Proven capabilities in business development strategic planning stakeholder management risk management and operational oversight.
• A clean regulatory and compliance record and the ability to satisfy all applicable fit and proper requirements of the relevant regulators.
