Job Title: Sourcing & Procurement Officer Location: Ikeja, Lagos Industry: Engineering & Procurement Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sourcing & Procurement Officer to support our procurement operations by sourcing quality materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of procurement experience, preferably within the engineering, construction, or procurement sector, and possess strong organizational and negotiation skills. Key Responsibilities Source and procure materials, equipment, and services in line with company requirements. Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors. Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing and value for money. Prepare purchase orders and ensure compliance with company procurement policies. Track purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with relevant departments to prevent stock shortages. Verify deliveries against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies where necessary. Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers. Support contract administration and vendor performance evaluations. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. Prepare periodic procurement reports and provide updates to management. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. 1–2 years of procurement experience , preferably within an engineering, construction, manufacturing, or procurement environment. Good understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract administration. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience using ERP or procurement management systems is an added advantage. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. High level of integrity and attention to detail. Preferred Skills Knowledge of engineering materials, equipment, and procurement specifications. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Good report writing and documentation skills.
