Driving Test Instructor (Manual)

Job Description
Our client is a mobility technology company and they are looking to employ a Driving Test Instructor (Manual). As a driving test instructor for our client, your key responsibility is to evaluate and assess drivers’ abilities to safely and effectively operate a manual transmission vehicle following the company’s standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-the-road driving evaluations for drivers to assess their ability to handle various driving scenarios, follow traffic rules and adhere to safe driving practices
  

• Assess drivers' proficiency in basic vehicle operation, maneuvering and defensive driving techniques
  

• Ensure that drivers meet all requirements and standards set by our client, including valid driver's license and Lasdri card.
  

• Maintain accurate records of assessment results and ensure that all documentation is completed following company policies and procedures.
  

• Promptly communicate assessment results to the Sales and Onboarding team to be actioned for the next steps.
  

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures during on-the-road assessment.
  

• Regularly align with the Training Team, as well as the Sales and Onboarding Team to monitor deliverables and ensure optimal performance.
  

• Stay informed about changes in road rules and best practices relevant to the assessment process.
  

• Promptly communicate all issues regarding assessment processes, vehicle and operational challenges to your line manager.
  

Requirements

• B.Sc/HND in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
  
• 3 to 5 years’ cognate experience as Driver's Instructor with good knowledge of road safety rules.
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  
• Accuracy and Attention to detail
  
• Sound knowledge of vehicle compliance and best industry practices.
  
• Driver's License
