Job DescriptionWIN Program 2026 — Graduate Engineering Management Trainee
International Facilities Services (IFS) | Lagos, Nigeria (on-site) | Full-time | 3-Year Leadership Journey
Application deadline: 31 July 2026 · 12 places available
Build the future of smart facilities in Africa
Are you a recent engineering graduate who wants more than a job?
IFS is opening applications for the Graduate Engineering Management Trainee track under the WIN Program (Winners in Africa) — a rigorous, salaried, three-year graduate journey that takes ambitious young engineers from classroom theory to hands-on mastery of the technology reshaping facilities and operations management across the continent.
What makes this track different
This isn't a back-office graduate scheme. You'll get direct, hands-on exposure to:
• Facility management operations — actual on-site delivery of world-class facility management to elite clients
• Robotics in facility operations — automated inspection, maintenance, and monitoring systems deployed live on-site
• AI-driven facility management — predictive maintenance, smart energy systems, IoT-enabled building intelligence
• Real engineering ownership — from Month 2 you're embedded in live projects, not shadowing from the sidelines
Your journey
• Month 1 — Foundation bootcamp: professional readiness, communication, and the digital and data tools you'll use on live sites
• Months 2–12 — On-the-job placement: embedded with a delivery team on client sites
• Year 2 — Role progression: real ownership and expanding technical responsibility
• Year 3 — Capstone project: a business-impact initiative you own end to end, backed by mentorship and structured progression into the IFS engineering management pipeline
Who we're looking for
• 1st Class or 2:1 in Engineering (any discipline — Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, Civil, Computer, Industrial, Maintenance or related), graduated within the last 2 years
• NYSC discharge certificate (or valid exemption) — required at application
• Curious, hands-on, and unafraid of the technical detail — we're looking for builders, not just theorists
• Strong problem-solving instincts and a genuine interest in automation, robotics, or smart systems
• No prior formal work experience required — this program is designed to build you from the ground up
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Lagos
We strongly encourage applications from women and from candidates of underserved or low-income backgrounds. WIN exists to open doors, not just fill them.
Our values
R.E.I.G.N. — Raise, Empower, Inspire, Grow, Nurture.
We're not just hiring engineers. We're building the next generation of operators who will lead Africa's built environment into a smarter, more sustainable future.
What this program asks of you
This is demanding, hands-on work from Month 1. You'll be on live client sites, taking real ownership, and receiving direct feedback — often. If that excites you rather than worries you, you'll do well here.
If you've ever looked at a building and thought about how it could run smarter, this is your way in.
