Job description

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Officer to support the growth of the client company by identifying new business opportunities, expanding client acquisition channels, and strengthening partnerships.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in increasing student enrollment, promoting our programs, and building long-term relationships with clients, schools, and corporate partners.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Lead Generation

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase student enrollment and revenue.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote language programs and study abroad services.
  • Generate and convert leads through marketing, outreach, and networking activities.

Client & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, parents, and corporate clients.
  • Provide guidance on available programs and assist clients through the enrollment process.
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards throughout client engagement.

Partnerships & Market Expansion

  • Develop partnerships with schools, organizations, and education agents.
  • Represent the company at education fairs, seminars, and promotional events.
  • Support brand visibility and institutional growth within and outside Port Harcourt.

Sales & Reporting

  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly enrollment targets.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, performance, and market feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads and conversions using CRM tools.

Market Research

  • Monitor trends in education, study abroad opportunities, and competitor activities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve marketing and sales strategies.

Requirements


Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2–4 years experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
  • Experience in education, training, or consultancy services is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to generate leads and close sales.
  • Target-driven with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
