Java Backend Developer

Job Description

The Backend Developer is responsible for designing and maintaining secure server-side applications, databases, and APIs to support application logic, data processing, and seamless integration with frontend and third-party services.

Requirements

• Develop and maintain the code that runs on the server, handling data processing, application logic, and business rules.
  
• Design, implement, and manage databases to store and retrieve data efficiently.
  
• Create and maintain Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for communication between the front-end and back-end components.
  
• Optimize the back-end for speed, efficiency, and scalability.
  
• Implement security measures to protect data and prevent unauthorized access.
  

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Tech Stacks – JAVA, Node JS, Python or PHP Laravel (JAVA is mandatory plus any others)

Other proficiencies – Restful API, Version control (Git), AWS, Nginx, Apache, Postman, Microservices, Experience working with T24 (Core Banking Application) will be an added advantage

Minimum of B.Sc. in any social science discipline (Business Administration, Marketing, Banking & Finance, Economics or related courses). 5 years and above of experience in similar field Professional certification in ICAN, ACCA RIMA is preferred
