Innovations for Enhanced Access to Oxygen (INNOVATE) is a four-year initiative across India, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, and Senegal to address criticalbarriers to oxygen access by catalyzing the growth of promising oxygen production and piping technologies and innovative operation and maintenance business models.Working closely with local and global partners, INNOVATEaimsto increase access to safe, reliable and high-quality oxygen therapy through a suitable mix of oxygen delivery solutions tailored to local capacity and needs; create the conditions needed for sustainable oxygen delivery models; and foster inclusive and demand-driven partnerships for innovation.
PATH is seeking aMarket AccessLeadtooverseeINNOVATEproject implementationandbusiness model pilot design across the project geographies. TheMarket Access Leadwillalso serve as a senior thought leader for the project team, leading engagementwith external stakeholders and consortium members, and contributing to technical discussions and business development efforts.Theideal Market Access Lead is someone with significant practical business and leadership experience who can apply that experience to complex oxygen and healthcare markets.

Responsibilities:
1. Leadthe design of business model pilots across all project countries (India, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, and Senegal)
Facilitate pilot co-design process involving project leadership, consortium partners, ministries of health, andprojectadvisory board
Oversee research protocol andevaluation plan development, with guidance from international research partners and country teams
Provideongoing technical guidance to country teams through pilot launch and operation
2. Overseethe PATH Kenya team in launching andexecutingbusiness model pilotsin Kenya
Engage relevant government and business stakeholders tomaintainpolitical buy-in
Conduct preparatory activities such astrainingmaterial development orfacility preparation
Deliver tailoredtechnicalassistancetobusiness model pilot firms, e.g.,optimizingservice delivery efficiency, refining revenue streams,andpreparingfinancial models.
Oversee outcomes data collection as directed by research protocol/evaluation plan
3. Collaborate with PATH global and advocacy teams to scale uppromising INNOVATEbusiness model interventions across the East Africa region:
Engageinvestors and catalytic capital providers inthehealthandmanufacturingsectors.
Disseminatebusiness model studyfindingsviapublications andtechnical working groups.
Develop advocacy materialsshowcasingthe cost/health impact oftested interventions.
4. Leadbroaderstrategic engagement withexternal stakeholders todevelop new business andestablishPATHthought leadershipin the market access space
Engageseniorofficialsfrom the Ministry of Health (MOH) and otherministriestobuild relationships andidentifyopportunities for PATH to support governmentobjectives.
Build andmaintainrelationshipswithother relevantlocal and regionalleaders and influencers (e.g., procurement agencies, professional organizations, regionalmultilateralbodies) toestablishPATH as a thought leader inkeymarket accesspolicy/strategy areas.
Build andmaintainKenya’s advocacy impact strategy for INNOVATE to understand and influence existing gaps in policy and financing prioritization for oxygen access.
Identifyand engage government, multilateral, and private funding sources to provide catalytic/scale-up funding for successful technology and business model innovations.
Help develop new proposals, concept notes, and investment pitches by providing market shaping and market access technical inputs.
Required Experience:
Master’s degree in business administration, economics, supply chain management, public policy, or similar degreerequired, along with 10-15 years of work experience.
Significant businessexpertisewithdemonstratedexperience in contract negotiation, budget oversight, and business strategy and operations.
Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and work effectively within large consortia of other research and implementation partners.
Excellent interpersonal, networking, and diplomacy skills;demonstratedfluency in navigating high-level engagements with senior leaders in government, multilateral, and donor agencies.
Experience managing in a flexible and changing environment, with ability to adjust plans and direction in response to local feedback and project iteration cycles.
Excellentwritten and oral communication skills;demonstratedability to quickly develop compelling memos, concept notes, and presentation slides, and speak to them effectively.
Experience with health system or health facility-based research programs a plus.
