- Meet with new and existing customers in the agro-allied industry to evaluate needs and suggest suitable products or services.
- Prepare and deliver effective presentations on products and services.
- Develop and implement approved sales plans, including field strategies and programs to achieve set targets.
- Attend relevant conferences and trade expos within the agro-allied industry.
- Maintain accurate expense records for tracking and reimbursement.
- Ensure farm products are delivered to customers as per their requests and timelines.
- Demonstrate confidence in the quality of produce and services offered.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly business development reports.
- Collect and analyze feedback from customers, proposing solutions for any issues raised.
- Stay updated with innovations and trends in the agro-allied industry.
- Conduct research to enhance knowledge of the industry and apply insights to drive sales.
- Handle company information with the utmost confidentiality.
Skills and Qualifications :
OND, HND, or B.Sc qualification in a relevant field.Strong listening and critical thinking abilities.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong analytical and numerical capabilities.Ability to build rapport with customers from diverse educational backgrounds.Quick thinking and effective problem-solving skills.Proficient in verbal and written communication.Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.Skilled in negotiation and closing deals.Self-motivated and target-driven.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Basic driving skills are required.Prior sales or business development experience in the agro-allied industry is an added advantage.
