Role Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for accurate day‑to‑day financial recordkeeping, statutory compliance, tax management, payroll, and financial reporting to support operational decision‑making for a cleaning and facilities services business. The role ensures cashflow integrity, cost control across service contracts, and timely regulatory filings.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax filings.
- Manage payroll processing and statutory deductions.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

- Excellent knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).

Qualifications & Requirements
- Mandatory: ACCA or ICAN certification or in view.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in accounting (preferably in service-oriented industries).
- Solid knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
