Head Project Tax Controller | Sterling Oil & Gas (Lagos, Nigeria)

Sterling Oil & Gas is seeking an accomplished tax leader to join us as Head Project Tax Controller. This is a strategic leadership role overseeing tax planning, compliance, and structuring for mega projects across Oil & Gas (Upstream & Downstream), Petrochemicals, Fertilizers, Power Projects, Mining, and EPC.

Location : Lagos, Nigeria

Experience : 20-25 years

Reporting to : COO / CEO

What Youll Do :

• Lead tax strategy, structuring & compliance for large-scale international projects.
• Manage direct & indirect taxes, transfer pricing, customs, VAT, excise, and cross-border tax matters.
• Partner with leadership to drive tax-efficient structuring of contracts, JVs, and project financing.
• Oversee tax audits, litigation, and compliance across multiple geographies.
• Mentor and grow a world-class tax team.
