ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Perform all the NDT tasks on the aircraft wheels, brakes and structures in accordance with OEM approved documentation and in compliance with Air Peace and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment.
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection and ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
- Organize and report test results.
- Perform specialized inspections.
- Instruct and supervise Others.
- Developing processes and procedures to support quality assurance activities and rigorous testing
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years' experience in Aerospace NDT inspection as Level 2 (ET, MT, PT & UT).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Formal NDT training hours.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals to perform duties.
- Good Communication Skills.
- Knowledge of Aviation Legislation/Regulations.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Human factors application.
- Leadership Experience.
- Must have sufficient technical knowledge and skills, to be qualified to set up and calibrate equipment; and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Should be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods per his/her qualification and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees and NDT Level 1 personnel.
- Should be able to organize and report the results of NDT tests.
- Must have good computer skills in Microsoft applications.
- Must be physically fit.
