We are recruiting to fill the position of a Graduate Medical Laboratory Scientist

Job Description

• To perform laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations
• To prepare specimens, samples and reagents
• To operate and ensure regular maintenance of laboratory equipment
• To ensure safety of all data records generated in the laboratory
• To keep up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time improve quality and reliability of processes and results
• To ensure and adhere to standard laboratory safety measures and checks.
• To participate in equipment validations, calibrations, quality controls and assessment
• To ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced
• To promptly and accurately record laboratory results and present for approval.
• Involved with scientific meetings in the organization

Requirements

• BSc Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
• 1 – 3 years of post-NYSC work experience
• Great communication and organizational skills
• Excellent knowledge of anatomic pathology
• Able to pay attention to details
• Team player.
