Remuneration :
₦250,000–₦350,000 (Net Monthly Salary) with additional Benefits : HMO, Pension, Leave Allowance, End-of-Year Bonus
Job Summary :
The Business Development Executive (Agribusiness) is responsible for driving growth and expansion within the agricultural value chain. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships with farmers, cooperatives, processors, and agribusiness investors, and promoting the company’s agricultural products and services. The executive will play a key role in enhancing market reach, improving revenue generation, and supporting sustainable agribusiness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Identify and develop new agribusiness opportunities across production, processing, distribution, and export value chains.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with farmers, cooperatives, input suppliers, and government agencies.
Conduct market research and feasibility studies to assess demand trends, pricing, and emerging opportunities in the agricultural sector.
Develop proposals, business plans, and partnership frameworks for agribusiness projects.
Promote the company’s agricultural products, services, and solutions to potential clients, investors and partners.
Support the implementation of out-grower and contract farming schemes.
Collaborate with the technical, finance, and operations teams to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
Track, analyse, and report on sales performance and business development activities.
Represent the company at agricultural exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry conferences.
Monitor competitors and provide strategic input for market positioning and innovation.
Must visit sites at least once in a month
Willingness to travel (Local and Abroad)
Qualifications and Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Management, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics,
Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
3–5 years’ experience in agribusiness development, agricultural sales, or value chain management.
Proven record of achieving growth targets in an agricultural or agro-allied organization.
Strong understanding of Nigeria’s agricultural sector, value chains, and market dynamics.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Willingness to travel to project sites and client locations.
