Our client, a key player in the agrochemical and agribusiness industry specializing in crop protection solutions such as herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and seed treatments, is seeking to hire a Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, driving product visibility and market penetration, and ensuring strong alignment between marketing initiatives and business objectives.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Agribusiness, or Marketing.
MBA or postgraduate qualification in Business, Marketing, or Management is an added advantage.
5–7 years of experience as a marketing manager within the agrochemical, agribusiness, FMCG, or crop protection industry.
Strong understanding of crop production, pest management, and farmer practices.
Proven experience in market strategy development, product positioning, and promotional campaign execution.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
Sound business acumen, data-driven decision-making ability, and analytical thinking.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in agrochemicals is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase market share and profitability.
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation to identify opportunities.
Support product launches, lifecycle management, and product positioning strategies.
Prepare and monitor the approved marketing budget to ensure effective utilization.
Collaborate with R&D and regulatory teams to align marketing activities with product registration timelines.
Build and strengthen brand identity for crop protection products.
Design and execute promotional campaigns including advertising, events, digital marketing, and farmer field days.
Develop marketing materials such as brochures, product guides, and social media content.
Work with marketing agencies to achieve communication and media objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and agro-input retailers.
Organize training sessions for sales teams, distributors, and farmers on product usage and best practices.
Engage with farmer associations, cooperatives, and government agencies to enhance brand credibility.
Supervise and mentor marketing team members, ensuring performance and career development.
Provide market intelligence, trends, and product knowledge to support sales teams.
Develop sales enablement tools, promotional offers, and campaigns to drive product demand.
Monitor product performance and ensure achievement of sales and profitability targets.
Track and analyze marketing performance, ROI, and customer satisfaction.
Provide regular market updates, forecasts, and competitor intelligence to management.
Ensure compliance with product stewardship and industry regulations.
Contribute to new product and solution development in collaboration with the R&D team.
Build a capable marketing team through continuous training and coaching.
Identify and develop successors for critical roles within the marketing unit.
Partner with HR to design and implement capacity development programs for marketing staff.
