BMS Engineer / Senior Technician

Amaken is seeking an experienced and hands-on BMS Engineer / Senior Technician to join a leading international MEP contractor operating across West Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, and Ivory Coast). This role is essential in executing and maintaining advanced Building Management Systems on large-scale infrastructure and facility projects.

With a focus on Schneider Electric (EcoStruxure, TAC Vista) and Siemens (Desigo, PX Series) platforms, the selected candidate will play a vital part in programming, commissioning, and optimizing building automation systems for energy efficiency and performance.

Key Responsibilities :

Install, program, and commission BMS control panels and field devices (HVAC, lighting, metering, etc.).

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure smooth system operations.

Troubleshoot BMS faults and restore functionality quickly.

Integrate systems using protocols like BACnet, Modbus, and KNX.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (IT, mechanical, electrical) for seamless system integration.

Maintain up-to-date backups, system configurations, schedules, and alarms.

Prepare technical reports, as-built drawings, and operation manuals.

Train client teams on BMS operations and preventive care.

Qualifications :

Minimum 10 years of proven experience in BMS installation, maintenance, and programming.

In-depth knowledge of Schneider and Siemens BMS systems is mandatory.

Familiarity with automation protocols (BACnet / IP, Modbus TCP, KNX) and DDC control systems.

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Instrumentation.

Proficiency in BMS software tools and graphical interface design.

Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.

Fluency in English; French is an asset (especially for Ivory Coast).

Willingness to work full-time on-site in West Africa.
