Are you an experienced fleet management professional with a strong background in trucking logistics? Our client in the logistics industry is seeking an Assistant Fleet Manager to oversee transport operations and ensure optimal fleet performance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily fleet operations, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure trucks remain in top condition and meet safety standards.
- Supervise drivers to enforce adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and delivery timelines.
- Plan and coordinate truck dispatch and routing for timely and efficient deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, including mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance logs.
- Develop strategies to enhance fleet efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve service delivery.
- Work closely with the logistics team to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations for fleet and transport operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers for maintenance, insurance, and repairs.
Requirements :
4-7 years of experience in fleet management, preferably in trucking logistics.Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and industry regulations.Proficiency in fleet management tools and software (a plus).Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.How to Apply :
