Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Sales and Marketing to lead our expansion into West Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and leading the sales and marketing team, developing and executing brandstrategies, identifying market gaps, and establishing a broad distribution network. This role requires a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong workethic, and a passion for branding and market development.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration in West Africa.
  • Identify and leverage market gaps and trends to position Exceptional Brands as a leader.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales and marketing team, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Oversee brand portfolio development for a strong and competitive market presence.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with key distributors, retailers, and partners to expand market reach.
  • Develop and implement a broad distribution strategy to ensure product availability across multiple channels.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to refine pricing, promotions, and positioning strategies.
  • Drive brand awareness and consumer engagement through digital and traditional marketing.
  • Ensure brand consistency and alignment with customer preferences and regional market dynamics.
  • Lead the creation of innovative marketing campaigns tailored to diverse consumer segments.
  • Set and monitor KPIs to align sales and marketing performance with business objectives.
  • Optimize sales processes, marketing spend, and return on investment.
  • Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies for growth.

  • Personal Specification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing leadership, preferably in FMCG, cosmetics, or personal care.
  • Strong strategic thinking and market analysis skills to identify opportunities and drive competitive advantage.
  • Proven leadership and team development abilities, with experience in hiring, mentoring, and managing high-performance teams.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills to secure and expand key partnerships.
  • Expertise in brand building, including creating compelling brand narratives and campaigns.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving market environment.
