The Logistics Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transportation and delivery of FMCG products to distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and company locations. The role supports efficient supply chain operations by ensuring goods are delivered in good condition, documentation is properly handled, and company vehicles are maintained according to policy.
Key Responsibilities :
Transport and deliver FMCG products to assigned locations according to delivery schedules and routes.
Load and offload goods safely, ensuring products are handled with care to prevent damage or loss.
Verify delivery orders, invoices, and waybills to ensure accuracy before and after delivery.
Obtain proof of delivery, including signatures and stamped documents where required.
Ensure timely delivery while adhering to traffic laws and company safety guidelines.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained.
Report vehicle faults, accidents, delays, or incidents promptly to the logistics supervisor.
Monitor fuel usage and maintain accurate trip and mileage records.
Support warehouse and distribution teams during loading and dispatch operations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, security procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with returns, damaged goods, and reverse logistics when required.
Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and distributors.
Qualifications & Skills :
Minimum of secondary school education (SSCE or equivalent).
Valid driver’s license with proven experience driving delivery trucks or vans.
Good knowledge of local routes, markets, and distribution areas.
Experience in FMCG or high-volume delivery operations is an advantage.
Ability to read and understand delivery documents.
Physically fit and able to handle loading and offloading tasks.
Honest, reliable, and safety-conscious.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and road safety regulations.
