Job Title : Accountant

Location : Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos (Accommodation Provided)

Remuneration : ₦350,000 monthly

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to manage and oversee the company’s financial operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and provide strategic financial insights to support management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including payables, receivables, payroll, and fixed assets.

Monitor cash flow and budgets to optimize financial performance.

Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws.

Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.

Coordinate internal and external audits with proper documentation.

Implement and maintain effective internal controls.

Support financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis.

Stay up to date with accounting standards, laws, and best practices.

Provide financial insights to improve departmental efficiency and profitability.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Proven experience working as an Accountant within a manufacturing company (mandatory).

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Odoo, or SAP) and MS Excel.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
