Job Description
Our client in the FMCG sector is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Sales & Operations to lead their sales strategy, e-commerce operations, warehousing, and logistics. The ideal candidate must be an excellent salesman with a proven track record in FMCG and e-commerce, capable of setting and achieving sales targets, managing day-to-day operations, and driving overall business growth. This role requires strong leadership, operational discipline, and the ability to fuse traditional FMCG practices with technology-driven systems.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Manage and expand wholesale and B2B partnerships across Abuja and nationwide.
- Recruit, train, and motivate the sales team, setting clear KPIs and monitoring performance.
- Build strong client relationships with distributors, retailers, and corporate buyers.
E-commerce & Operations
Oversee daily e-commerce operations including order processing, customer service, and returns management.Coordinate logistics and ensure efficient last-mile delivery systems.Supervise warehouse operations (stocking, inventory control, dispatch) to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Implement process improvements and technology tools for seamless operations.Performance & Strategy
Establish and track performance metrics (sales KPIs, operational SLAs, customer satisfaction).Analyze sales and operational data to identify growth opportunities and efficiency improvements.Collaborate with management on budgeting, forecasting, and expansion planning.Leadership & Culture
Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership to cross-functional teams.Drive a high-performance culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.Represent the company in stakeholder engagements, trade negotiations, and strategic partnerships.Key Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales / Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA is a plus).5+ years’ proven experience in FMCG sales and operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.Experience in managing e-commerce operations and integrating technology into sales / operations.Solid understanding of logistics, warehousing, and supply chain processes.Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to drive.Required Skills
