The Merchandiser plays a key role in driving product visibility, market penetration, and brand awareness within assigned territories. The role involves ensuring that Golden Guinea products are properly displayed, well-stocked, and promoted across retail outlets, bars, supermarkets, and distribution points, in line with company standards and marketing objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Product Visibility & Display Management :
Ensure proper arrangement and attractive display of all Golden Guinea products (e.g., Golden Guinea Lager, Eagle Stout, Oldsborg, and Golden Malta) in retail outlets and bars.
Maintain clean, well-branded, and appealing point-of-sale (POS) materials such as signage, shelf strips, and banners.
Ensure coolers, fridges, and display stands are branded, functional, and well-stocked.
Sales Support & Outlet Activation :
Support sales teams in implementing trade promotions, tastings, and market activation.
Encourage product trials and visibility through sampling and brand activation events.
Build strong relationships with retailers, bar owners, and distributors to secure premium product placement.
Stock Management :
Monitor stock levels and report to the sales office on product availability, sales trends, and re-order needs.
Ensure first-in-first-out (FIFO) stock rotation to maintain product freshness and quality.
Market & Competitor Intelligence :
Gather market insights on competitors’ activities, pricing, and promotional strategies.
Provide timely feedback and recommendations to the Sales and Marketing departments.
Reporting & Documentation :
Submit daily or weekly reports on merchandising activities, outlet visits, product performance, and display compliance.
Record customer feedback and relay actionable insights to management.
Brand Image & Compliance :
Represent the company professionally in all retail outlets and market engagements.
Ensure compliance with all company merchandising and branding guidelines.
