As we scale our operations and expand our footprint, we are seeking a Practice Manager (Head, HR) to strengthen our institutional backbone and drive operational excellence.
Job Summary
The Practice Manager will serve as the operational anchor of the firm, ensuring alignment among people, processes, and performance. The role provides strategic oversight of HR, governance, and quality management systems to maintain pcl.’s culture of excellence and ensure our people and operations continue to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Compliance & Quality Management
- Establish and maintain firm-wide standards for compliance and delivery excellence.
- Oversee the Quality Assurance function to ensure consistency across proposals, projects, and reviews.
- Monitor compliance metrics, lead internal audits, and manage consequence frameworks.
- Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
2. People & Performance Management
Lead the HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, learning, performance, and exit processes.Strengthen performance management systems that drive accountability, growth, and recognition.Define career paths, role profiles, and leadership development frameworks.Champion employee wellbeing, engagement, and retention across teams.3. Productivity & Upskilling
Implement productivity tracking systems that link utilisation, performance, and payroll data.Facilitate training and capability-building initiatives across consulting levels.Use productivity insights to inform resource planning and performance improvement.4. Leadership Development & Organisational Capability
Institutionalise leadership frameworks and governance structures across the firm.Design and oversee leadership training, coaching, and succession planning programmes.Strengthen alignment between Partner, EXCO, and leadership teams.Build empowered leadership layers to drive firm-wide growth and sustainability.Requirements
Qualification and Experience
8–12 years’ progressive experience in consulting operations, HR leadership, or transformation management.Proven record of managing HR systems, compliance frameworks, and performance processes.Strong understanding of consulting business models and project economics.Experience with utilisation tracking, quality assurance, and productivity tools.Excellent leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and resilience under pressure.Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Master’s degree or professional certification (CIPM, SHRM, or CIPD) preferred.Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) or Quality Management is an advantage.Additional training in Leadership Development or Consulting Operations is desirable.Key Competencies :
