Job Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts, income statements, and balance sheet reviews.Conduct weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.Manage treasury operations and cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.Prepare monthly journals and perform general ledger reconciliations.Maintain and update the fixed asset register.Ensure timely posting of transactions and accuracy of financial records.Prepare and submit CBN regulatory monthly and annual returns.Handle PAYE and WHT remittances, filings, and related documentation.Liaise with tax consultants, regulatory authorities, and external auditors.Coordinate and support internal and external audit exercises.Conduct financial analysis to support management decision-making.Lead, mentor, and supervise finance team members.Raise internal memos and support process improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with IFRS, accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory guidelinesQualifications, Experience & Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.ACA / ICAN or ACCA qualification (or in view) is mandatory.Minimum of 5 years' cognate experience in financial control, accounting, or audit within a bank or microfinance institution.Sound knowledge of the CBN regulatory framework and microfinance bank operations.Strong understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.Strong leadership, analytical, and risk-awareness skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and core banking / accounting systems.Benefits
