Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HR Plant Officer knowledgeable about managing plant employees. As the HR Plant Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all human resources activities at our client's manufacturing plant. You will work closely with the plant manager and other department heads to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Workforce Administration & HR Operations
- Manage day‑to‑day HR operations for plant employees, including attendance, leave administration, shift schedules, and personnel records.
- Maintain accurate HRIS data for all plant staff and ensure timely updates.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes for plant employees, contractors, and temporary staff.
- Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics for management review.
Recruitment & Staffing
- Coordinate recruitment for plant roles, including technicians, operators, and support staff.
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and participate in interviews.
- Support workforce planning and ensure adequate staffing levels across shifts.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and workplace issues.
- Promote a positive work environment through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
- Facilitate employee engagement programs, recognition activities, and plant‑level events.
Learning & Development
- Coordinate training programs for plant employees, including safety training, technical skills, and compliance modules.
- Maintain training records and ensure adherence to regulatory and corporate training requirements.
- Support capability‑building initiatives and performance management cycles.
Compliance, Health & Safety
- Ensure HR practices comply with local labor laws, company policies, and global standards.
- Collaborate with the HSE team to reinforce safety culture and support safety campaigns.
- Monitor contractor compliance with HR, safety, and legal requirements.
Payroll & Compensation Support
- Validate plant attendance data and overtime records for payroll processing.
- Support compensation and benefits administration for plant employees.
- Assist with annual salary reviews, incentive programs, and benefits communication.
HR Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in HR transformation initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Support digitalisation efforts and adoption of HR systems and tools.
- Contribute to cross‑functional projects that enhance plant productivity and employee experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and plant operations.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
- Experience working in a multinational environment is an advantage.
- SHRM certification is a plus
