Role Overview
The QA Engineer / Software Tester will be responsible for designing and implementing test plans, identifying software issues, and ensuring that all releases meet the required quality benchmarks before deployment. This role involves close collaboration with developers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams to enhance the overall product quality and user experience across Prembly's platforms.Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure software quality.Identify, record, and document thoroughly any bugs, errors, or inconsistencies.Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand project requirements and define testing scope.Perform regression testing and validate bug fixes.Review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities, open defect counts).Conduct functional, performance, usability, and security testing on web and API products.Ensure products meet design specifications and compliance standards before release.Participate actively in sprint planning, review, and retrospective sessions to maintain product quality across releases.Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and documentation.Requirements
35 years of proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Tester, or in a similar role (preferably within SaaS, fintech, or compliance industries).Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing.Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr).Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.Working knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger).Basic understanding of version control (Git) and CI / CD pipelines.Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
