Job Summary

General Manager is a crucial management team member responsible for the performance of the company as dictated by the Chairman or Board's strategy. To enhance the internal organizational processes and infrastructure that will allow the firm to continue to grow and fulfill its objectives. General Manager reports to the Board of Directors.

Job Description / Requirements

Responsibilities :

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership in line with the corporate business plan and strategy.
  • Oversee implementation of corporate plans and strategies based on company business philosophy, mission, vision, and core values.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop the management team to ensure excellent performance and effective succession planning in the organization.
  • Lead the actualization of the vision of the firm to become Africa’s leading indigenous real estate firm.
  • Drive company results from operational and financial perspectives and involve in capital raise processes.
  • Oversee the activities of all departments.
  • Design, plan and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement an appropriate management structure providing strong leadership through an initial period of change.
  • Review the management team’s performance and put in place appropriate development and training for staff.
  • Engages directly with Board to ensure financial transparency and to communicate key financial goals and priorities.
  • Effectively communicate the firm's strategy, policies, and results within areas of responsibility both internally and externally
  • Actively oversee the firm’s relationships with major clients, partners, and industry players.
  • Representing the firm to major clients, partners, and professional associations
  • Setting company-wide KPIs to gauge the firm's performance in all areas.
  • Direct the development and implementation of compliance-related procedures throughout the firm.
  • Continuously evaluate company performance and recommend strategies to improve results.
  • Drive the company's operating capacity to meet customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain organizational control of operations and customer services and lead conflict management affecting major company clients.
  • Implement control strategies to reduce unnecessary operational expenses.
  • Direct the development and implementation of compliance-related procedures throughout the firm.
  • Maintain relationships with other stakeholders including marketing consultants.
  • Requirements :

  • Minimum academic qualification of Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field. A Master’s degree will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a management capacity in the real estate space.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
  • A strong ability to develop and motivate a team, and to collaborate and act as a team player.
  • Familiarity with relevant technology tools such as Microsoft Office 365.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Great communication and presentation skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Remuneration : N400,000 with bonuses and negotiable
