- Clinix Healthcare is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Sonologist (Ultrasound Specialist) to join our diagnostic imaging team at our Abule Egba branch. We are committed to delivering accurate, timely, and patient-centered ultrasound services, and we need a dedicated professional who is passionate about providing exceptional obstetric, gynecological, abdominal, vascular, and general ultrasound diagnostics.
Responsibilities
Perform and interpret a full range of ultrasound examinations including obstetric / gynecological, abdominal, pelvic, small parts, vascular (Doppler), and musculoskeletal scans.Conduct specialized scans such as fetal anomaly scans, NT scans, growth scans, transvaginal ultrasounds, and guided procedures when required.Produce high-quality images, provide accurate reports, and highlight critical findings in a clear and timely manner.Collaborate closely with referring physicians, obstetricians, gynecologists, and other specialists to support patient management and treatment planning.Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and calibration of ultrasound equipment.Adhere strictly to safety protocols, infection control standards, and patient privacy guidelines.Supervise and mentor junior sonographers or trainees where applicable.Participate in quality assurance programs and continuous improvement of ultrasound services.Requirements & SkillsExperienced Sonologist with excellent diagnostic accuracy and strong clinical judgment in ultrasound imaging.Proficient in all routine and advanced ultrasound techniques with outstanding image optimization skills.Strong attention to detail, pattern recognition, and ability to detect subtle abnormalities.Excellent communication skills to explain procedures to patients and discuss findings with clinicians.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compassion and patient comfort.Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and keeping up with latest ultrasound guidelines.Qualifications
Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.Postgraduate qualification in Radiology or fellowship with specialization in ultrasound (FWACS, FMCR, or equivalent).Valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).Minimum of 35 years post-qualification experience as a Sonologist.Additional training / certification in obstetric ultrasound, fetal medicine, or vascular sonography is an added advantage.National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program completed.Computer literate and proficient in ultrasound reporting software.
