Job description

About the Role

We are looking for an aggressively results-oriented, street-smart Marketer who knows the ins and outs of Lagos. In this role, book smarts and degrees are great, but the ability to hustle, negotiate, read the room, and close deals in the rough-and-tumble Lagos real estate market is paramount. You will be responsible for driving property sales and rentals by understanding the pulse of the city, networking effectively, and executing grassroots and digital campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Execution & Networking: Spend significant time on the field scouting, networking with high-net-worth individuals, agents, and corporate bodies across prime Lagos nodes (e.g., Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Lekki, Ikeja).
  • Deal Closing & Negotiation: Leverage street-smarts to negotiate effectively with property owners, close high-ticket sales/leases, and resolve on-the-ground client objections.
  • Grassroots & Guerrilla Marketing: Identify and exploit unconventional marketing channels (e.g., local influencers, strategic partnerships, OOH placements, community networking) to generate high-quality leads.
  • Digital Lead Generation: Oversee digital marketing efforts (Instagram, targeted ads, email campaigns) but ensure they are backed by the local context and cultural nuances of Lagos. Market * Intelligence: Gather actionable, on-the-ground intelligence on competitor activities, emerging neighborhoods, and pricing trends before they become public knowledge.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Marketer or Sales Executive in the Lagos real estate sector with a track record of closed deals.
  • The "Lagos Street Smart" Factor: Unmatched negotiation skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to navigate complex community relationships, Omo-onile (indigenes) dynamics, and bureaucratic bottlenecks.
  • Communication: Excellent spoken English and Pidgin; ability to comfortably converse with both local artisans and corporate executives.
  • Initiative: Self-starter who requires minimal supervision and thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
