About Company: Our client is a Building and Civil Engineering Construction Group with operations focused in the South-South region of Nigeria. The Company is one of the leading EPCCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Maintenance) companies in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria.
The company is seeking to hire an experienced Supply Chain Manager who will manage the process of procurement according to company procedures and policies.
This is a strategic and operational role responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain of materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects. The role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and alignment with project schedules while mitigating supply chain risks in complex project environments.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with project execution plans.
§ Source and negotiate contracts for raw materials, MEP components, and construction services.
§ Plan and coordinate logistics for the timely delivery of materials to project sites (JIT delivery).
§ Prequalify, evaluate, and manage suppliers and subcontractors to ensure performance standards.
§ Implement and manage inventory tracking systems across multiple project sites.
§ Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory to prevent shortages or excesses.
§ Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
§ Manage procurement budgets and ensure cost control across all supply chain activities.
§ Review and approve purchase orders, vendor invoices, and procurement documentation.
§ Collaborate with engineering and project teams to align material specifications with project requirements.
§ Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
§ Provide regular reports on supply chain performance, cost trends, and risk exposure.
§ Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement efficiency and logistics operations.
Requirements
§ Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Civil Engineering, or Business Administration.
§ 5–10 years’ experience in construction procurement or industrial logistics.
§ Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and advanced Excel.
§ Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, PMP, or Supply Chain Certification) are an advantage.

§ Lead and manage the supply chain team to achieve departmental objectives.
§ Develop training and capacity-building programs for team members.
§ Establish performance targets and conduct periodic performance evaluations.
§ Foster strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
