We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Business Head (at the AGM / GM level) to lead this critical expansion.
Job Summary :
- This is a unique and exciting opportunity to spearhead FuelBuddy's CNG business in Nigeria from the ground up.
- You will be responsible for the complete P&L, driving business growth, establishing strategic partnerships, navigating the regulatory landscape, and building a high-performing team.
- Your proven experience in successfully leading and growing a CNG business within an African country is absolutely essential for this role.
Key Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy for FuelBuddy's CNG operations in Nigeria, encompassing market entry, growth, and long-term sustainability.
Take full ownership of the P&L for the CNG business in Nigeria, ensuring revenue generation, cost management, and profitability targets are met.Lead and drive business development efforts, including identifying and securing key clients across various sectors (e.g., transportation, industrial).Build the CNG business from scratch, establishing operational frameworks, supply chain logistics, and necessary infrastructure.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with relevant regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and facilitate business operations.Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and potential partners.Build and lead a high-performing team in Nigeria, including recruitment, training, and performance management.Oversee all aspects of the CNG business, including sales, marketing, operations, finance, and customer service.Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the Nigerian CNG sector, adapting strategies as needed.Prepare and present regular business performance reports to senior management.Ensure adherence to FuelBuddys global standards and best practices.Experience Required :
Proven and demonstrable experience of successfully leading and growing a CNG business within any African country is absolutely essential.Applications without this specific experience will not be considered.Significant experience (10+ years) in a leadership role within the energy sector, with a strong focus on business development and P&L management.In-depth understanding of the CNG value chain, market dynamics, and regulatory environment, preferably within the African context.Strong experience in building businesses from the ground up, including establishing operational infrastructure and market presence.Excellent track record of successfully engaging and negotiating with regulatory authorities and securing necessary permits and approvals.Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Ability to thrive in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment.Willingness to stay in Immediate joiners will be given preference.Existing network and relationships within the Nigerian energy sector.ref : iimjobs.com)
