Job Description (Summary) :

As Head, Cloud Engineer, you will manage the operations of the entire Technical Department of Cybercloud. This individual will merge technical know-how with team building and management. For Cloud Strategy and road-map : develop and implement cloud strategies, road-maps, and architectures. Cybercloud Infrastructure Management : Oversee the infrastructure maintenance, design, deployment for approved upgrades, and daily operations. Cloud Security and Compliance : Ensure security, compliance, and governance on the platform. Migration and Deployment : Lead any technical cloud migration and deployment projects, such as the proposed Data Center. Vendor Management : Manage our service providers (CSPs) and vendors. Cost Optimization : Optimize Cybercloud’s technical costs and ensure ROI on both cloud computing tech partners, RackCenter, Veeam, Broadcom, and WebPro for WaaS.

Provide leadership for the engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the Cybercloud.

Manage the planning, design, and development of cloud solutions.

Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines and international best practices.

Lead the learning initiatives that will educate teams on implementing new cloud-based initiatives, as required.

Employing exceptional problem-solving skills to see and solve issues proactively.

Hiring and grooming the best technical hands to drive cloud initiatives and implement solutions for Cybercloud and its customers.

Drive the technical business continuity initiatives that will implement and set up geographically redundant services.

Orchestrating and automating cloud-based platforms throughout the company.

Inculcate a research and mind-share attitude into the team that will keep the team abreast with industry trends, and make recommendations as needed to help the company excel.

Ensures compliance with architectural and engineering policies, standards, and procedures

Works closely with development teams to support DevOps practices and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines

Leads technical discussions and presentations for internal teams and stakeholders

Recommends strategies to streamline systems for effectiveness and efficiency, considering client needs, team dynamics, and division and corporate missions. Serves as a quality control and assurance officer for guidance and outputs to ensure consistently high standards

Maintains and expands technical knowledge in the existing infrastructure of practice, knowledge management, and creates educational workshops.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields

Cloud-related certifications (VMware, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Certified Solutions Architect)

ITIL, PMP, or Agile certifications

Minimum of 10 years relevant management / leadership experience

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in leading a technical / research and development team

Preferred programming language(s) : Scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash)

Required cloud platform(s) (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) : (VMWare, AWS, OpenStack, Azure, GCP, OpenShift)

Containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) : Docker, Kubernetes

Relevant databases (SQL / NoSQL, etc.) : we are only seeking cloud infrastructure experience / knowledge

Advanced knowledge of local and international industry trends, standards, and regulations is desirable

Advanced knowledge of the system, server, and storage administrations is desirable

Intermediate knowledge of international Software scripting, security, administration standards, and procedures is desirable

Advanced knowledge of local IT policies, standards, and management is essential

Advanced knowledge of technical / network solution development is essential

Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment and industry

Ability to provide dynamic, confident, and motivational leadership to a high-performing team is essential
