Job description

Our client is a leading Agro-Allied Company located in Agbara Ogun State.

Our client is seeking to hire an experienced Monitoring and Evaluation Officer who will be responsible for developing and managing systems to track and evaluate the performance of agricultural projects and initiatives.

The ideal candidate will focus on collecting, analyzing, and reporting data related to crop production, input distribution, farmer engagement, and market performance. He / she will also provide actionable insights to support decision-making, enhance productivity, ensure compliance with industry standards, and contribute to the sustainability and profitability of the company’s operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and implement a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework, tools, and methodologies for agricultural projects and programs.

Collect, analyze, and interpret data on crop production, input utilization, and market outcome.

Develop indicators to measure farm productivity, profitability, repayment performance, and farmer livelihoods.

Prepare detailed monitoring reports, dashboards, and impact assessments for management and stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards in data management and reporting.

Track progress against project goals, targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

Provide evidence-based recommendations to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and project outcomes.

Coordinate with field teams, farmers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely data flow.

Conduct field visits to verify data quality, monitor activities, and identify gaps or risks.

Contribute to research, learning, and innovation initiatives to strengthen the company’s agro-allied operations.

Requirements

Key Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, or any related field.

3-5 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the agricultural or agro-allied sector.

Demonstrated ability to design M&E frameworks, tools, and methodologies, particularly in agriculture value chains.

Experience working with farmers, cooperatives, or development projects is an advantage.

Proficiency in data collection, management, and analysis using tools such as Excel, SPSS, STATA, or other statistical software.

Strong report writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with farmers, field teams, and diverse stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a results-oriented mindset.

Benefits

Compensation – Base Pay is N300k Monthly net + other benefits
