Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Finance to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Job Description / Requirements

Responsibilities :

Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax.

Prepare and analyze budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial information.

Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.

Assist with audits and other financial reporting requirements.

Stay up-to-date with accounting trends and changes in regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements :

Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years work experience as an Accountant, Financial Analyst or related role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.

Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Experience with general ledger functions.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

CPA or other accounting certification is a plus.

Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

Location : Lekki Phase I.

Remuneration : NGN 180,000.00 - NGN 200,000.00 per month.
