Role Summary
We are seeking a diligent, reliable, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our hospitality team at a beach resort in Lekki-Ajah, Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for guests, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and comfort. This role requires professionalism, physical stamina, and a commitment to excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Sanitation
Perform daily cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing furniture and surfaces.
Sanitize kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, sinks, counters, and fixtures.
Ensure high hygiene standards are maintained across all rooms and common areas.
Bed Making & Linens
Change bed linens, towels, and other room items as required.
Ensure beds are neatly made and guest rooms are always presentable.
Waste Management & Supplies
Empty trash bins and dispose of waste safely.
Refill and restock toiletries, cleaning supplies, and consumables.
Organization & Tidiness
Keep rooms and public areas organized and free of clutter.
Arrange furniture and amenities neatly to maintain guest comfort.
Equipment Maintenance
Safely operate, clean, and maintain housekeeping tools and equipment.
Report any damages, repairs, or maintenance issues promptly.
Additional Duties (as may be required)
Laundry : Wash, fold, and iron clothes and linens.
Errands : Assist with basic errands such as grocery shopping or dry-cleaning pickup.
Meal Preparation : Support with simple cooking or food service when needed.
Guest Service : Respond politely to guest requests and provide assistance as required.
Requirements
Qualifications :
Minimum of SSCE / WAEC certificate; additional training in housekeeping / hospitality is an advantage.
At least 3 years’ proven experience as a housekeeper in hospitality, hotels, or resorts.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and safety practices.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail with strong organizational ability.
Must be physically fit and able to lift, bend, and perform housekeeping duties for extended periods.
Trustworthy, reliable, and professional in conduct.
